What an eSIM is
An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a small chip built into your phone that does the same job as a physical SIM — it stores your carrier profile and connects you to a network. The difference is there’s no card to insert; you activate a plan by scanning a QR code or through an app, and the profile is downloaded onto the chip.
